About

Brent Teichman is a lifelong Missouri resident. He grew up on a “Missouri Century Farm” in West Central Missouri, a farm that continues to be owned and operated by his family to this day. After graduating from Warrensburg High School in 1993, he attended the University of Central Missouri (CMSU at the time), where he graduated summa cum laude in 1998. Brent obtained his Juris Doctor from the University of Missouri School of Law in 2001, and then owned and operated his own law firm for 17 years before being elected as the Associate Circuit Judge in Johnson County in 2018.

During his time in private practice, Brent Teichman vigorously and successfully represented thousands of clients – both private and public – gaining a unique perspective on the judicial system and how the actions and decisions of judges can dramatically affect the day-to-day lives of our citizens and their children. In his first 4 years as a judge, he has applied that experience in serving and protecting the citizens of Johnson County. His compassionate yet firm demeanor, his thorough understanding and knowledge of the law, coupled with his strong ties and deep commitment to the community, makes him uniquely qualified to continue serving the citizens of Johnson County in this very important position.

Judge Teichman is running for re-election as the Associate Circuit Judge for Johnson County because he understands and deeply appreciates the proper role of a judge in our constitutional system of government – to apply the law, not make the law; to treat every person equally and respectfully, regardless of finances or circumstances; and to faithfully adhere to the rule of law, even when the results are not politically or culturally popular.

Brent resides in Warrensburg with his wife, Molly, and their three children, Jackson (21), Emma (19) and Lillianne (15).
